The gold, silver, and platinum market has shown great volatility recently. Indeed it has recently reach new heights in August-September 2011. We advise all our clients to give serious consideration to buying gold and platinum coins that also have numismatic value.  These coins with collector and not just bullion value, normally have shown themselves to be more steady in value.  We do not make recommendations about buying or selling gold and other precious metals, and any such purchases are made without any guarantee of future value and we take no responsibility for loses or gains.   

MARKET CONDITIONS: GOLD (Note: The price of gold has both fallen and risen a number of times in recent years.  Between 2009-11 it fluctuated around $800 to above $1,900.00 an oz.

On a historical note in September 15th 2005 the spot price was about $454.80. In 2008, it made a new high above $1,000, but in September of 2008 it was selling at about $800. In October 2009 it hit $1,000 or higher again. We cannot predict the stability of the precious metal markets in 2011 or beyond!  Prices below were mostly set with gold at about $1,636.00 -  $1,800.00 levels and are being as revised as soon as we can. We can't get to all bullion prices ever hour, or every day, or even sometimes every week! We also sell just good old great wonderful collector coins also.

 Note: Our prices for gold bullion coins will be highly competitive with other main-line dealers at current price levels so please request up-to-date quotes!  We aim to provide our clients with the very best prices in the market.  Note however that we are sometimes traveling and can't respond immediately.

South Africa Gold Proofs

PROOF KRUGERRANDS:  We have a few South African Proof Krugerrands, from One oz. to 1/10 oz., in plastic cases, with South African Gold Exchange  guarantee certificate encased.  These are more semi-collector coins, but still remain close to the bullion value, and are very attractive and reasonably priced for their scarcity.  They are very limited in their mintage (a few thousands verses in some cases millions) compared with BU quality types of the same year.  These coins are minted on especially prepared flans, with mirror surfaces,  and struck in much more limited quantities than the normal bullion B.U. Krugerrands.  (All are in sealed plastic South African slabs, with numbered cases.)

Normally $100.00 of circulated silver rolls shipping to U.S. address will cost $15.90 - $20.00.  (NOTE: Smaller mixed packages of  averaged circulated silver coins sent at $3.95 parcel post or $5.95 priority insured.)  

Gold and bullion sliver orders are sent fully insured and/or via registered mail (cost normally is between $15.00 to $25.00 depending on weight, value, and distance, and type of service (i.e. express/priority).  EXCEPTION FOR INDIVIDUAL SILVER BULLION ROUNDS OR COINS, WHICH ARE SENT VIA NORMAL POSTAL MAIL ($5.95 for the first two, PLUS .25 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL COIN).   Priority or overnight shipping when requested at extra cost.  Registered/insured mail is our normal delivery method for values above $500.00.   Because of Post Office rates, $16.00 is the minimum required for orders at about $500.00.  Minimum order for larger bullion remains $25.00 for fully insured registered or priority mail.
